Meet The Modern Feline

The Modern Feline is owned by Jessica Busuttil, who has been offering her pet sitting services since 2016, streamlining the business in 2021 to specialise in felines.   With over 500 cats on the books, and a small team of trustworthy sitters the Modern Feline has a wealth of experience to offer its clients.

Jessica grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa where she was always surrounded by animals at home and spent much of her free time in the game parks learning about the local wildlife and scuba diving the coastlines with dolphins, sharks and turtles. Eventually, she relocated to the UK in 2003 to embark on a new adventure.

​

Jessica holds a BSc in Ecology and Environment from the university of Hull; with a particular interest in animal behaviour and ecology.  Jessica is a qualified Pet First Aid instructor and holds several other certifications including feline nutrition, TTouch, canine behaviour specialist, puppy specialist and feline behaviour and psychology.  Currently, Jessica is working towards her  Behaviour Specialist qualification and certification and will offer a behaviour consulting service in the near future.

At home Jessica is an animal mum to a cat, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, chickens, a rooster and a grumpy tortoise called Dorothy.
